DNSLookupTool.net is a free set of DNS, network and password-security tools, built to be fast, clean, and free of the clutter, pop-ups and forced sign-ups found on a lot of other "free tool" websites. Every lookup runs live against the public DNS system or, for the password tools, entirely in your own browser — nothing is stored, and there's no account to create.

The site covers two areas:

  • DNS & network tools — DNS Lookup, Reverse IP Lookup, NS Lookup, MX Lookup, and a Domain DNS Health Checker.
  • Security tools — an SSL Certificate Checker, plus a Password Encryption tool, a Random Password Generator and a Password Strength Checker.

Is DNSLookupTool.net free to use?

Yes. Every tool on the site is free, with no sign-up, no usage limits, and no paywalled features.

Do you store the domains, IPs or passwords I look up?

No. DNS and SSL lookups run live against the public DNS system for that single request only. The password generator and strength checker run entirely in your browser and never send anything to a server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How accurate are the results?

Results reflect what the server's DNS resolver — or, for SSL, the live certificate on port 443 — returns at the moment you run the lookup. Because DNS is a distributed, cached system, different tools or locations can briefly show different results after a recent change; this is normal and settles as caches expire.

Can I use these tools for a website or business I don't own?

Yes — all of the lookups here query publicly available DNS and certificate information, the same information any browser or DNS resolver can see. Please don't use the site to enable harassment, unauthorized access, or any other misuse — see our Terms & Conditions.
